The kitchen is the heart of every party! When guests mobbed the kitchen, this family found their small kitchen was a pinch point cutting off access to the backyard. We added large doors and an adjacent deck to allow continued socializing. Built-in L-shaped benches incorporating a hidden gate (allowing easy side yard access) provided more seating. An additional backyard patio and firepit was a second focus for outdoor family meals and group functions.

Realigning the front entry steps allowed movement through a beautiful low-maintenance low-water garden on the way to the front porch and sunset viewing deck over the garage.
