At University of California Berkeley Extension, Catherine Chang has been leading stormwater research and low-impact design (LID) efforts in the final studio for the Landscape Architecture Certificate Program. The students have been compiling recent innovations and advancements in stormwater integration, incorporating design elements into their projects and learning

how to detail their construction. Learning strategies to manage the quality and quantity of stormwater, the students have tested how a variety of tools might work to reduce stormwater pollution, provide greater bio-diversity and restore hydrological function to watersheds.
